Israel attempted to murder the negociator

Before, it used to be that there was some kind of balance between the US’s willingness to serve the interests of the politically important (but morally repugnant) Gulf States and its willingness to serve the interests of the politically important (but morally repugnant) Israeli state.

Now there’s nothing. Forget the self-defeating nature of such realpolitik, we live in an even more self-defeating era of absurdpolitik now.

(or whatever the appropriately German word for that would be)
