    I worked as a real estate agent, and you’re correct that there is a reason to have those items in the home for tours. You want the house to feel luxurious, open, uncluttered, decorated but with enough space for all the buyer’s stuff. You also want it to look like the previous owner was rich and meticulous, giving people a sense that they would have immediately fixed that leaky pipe or paid a pro to install the dishwasher. You bake cookies before an open house or a showing to make the house smell nice.

    There’s absolutely no reason to take and post a photo of a close up of a little paperweight statue. You don’t need a closeup photo of cookies.
