  • I’ve used a couple Phillips groomers over the years. The first one I had was from 2017 and the battery failed me in Jan 2025 (honestly happy with the 8years service).

    I got this multigroom 9000 kit to replace my old one. It comes with so much shit I don’t need (including a dang oneblade razor thing). I think the 7000 or 5000 should do just fine if you’re aiming for trim length, and not wet shave ‘neatness’.


  • I have a oneblade, it came with my multigroom 9000 series but I’ve never used it. The prospect of needing to replace oneblades every so often compared to my trimmers clippers with no such requirement puts me off.

    I will consider testing it out for science, particularly if your aim is for wet shave level facial hair length.

    I know it’s not an EU rec but there’s this Canadian company called Henson which make a safety razor handle that is more effective due to how it angles the razor blade relative to your skin: https://hensonshaving.com/
