You’re not though, you are still buying those games. Go the extra mile and pirate them if you really feel the need to play games containing loot box mechanics while trying to “stick it to them”

kcweller@feddit.nlto Not The Onion@lemmy.world•Trump Orders Four Mile Military Parade for His 79th BirthdayEnglish2·5 days agoI wouldn’t say isolationist as I believe communities supporting each other, trading with each other and collaborating is key to making this world liveable for all. I just don’t believe in foreign military operations doing anything accept asserting dominance and a show of power, and seeing as that was the sole reason “we” were in the middle east and all the meddling that the west has done both military and politically in the global south and the middle east is a blatant invasion of the sovereignty of other people.
Friends and family of mine have been / are in the military or military police, and I’ll gladly tell them the same. You can be intelligent and educated, but at the end of the day you rent out your morals and sovereignty to some authority other than yourself.

I would suggest you read up on nazi, Jewish en zionist collaboration before, during and after ww1 and 2. Try reading up on the Warsaw Ghettos.

If you are military in the information age, you are willfully ignorant.
kcweller@feddit.nlto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is one moral you have that most people don't agree with?1·6 days agoThere are Nazi’s everywhere. We had a nazi (self-proclaimed national socialist) public gathering just the other day in the Netherlands. You see to believe there are no Nazi’s in Ukraine, why?
kcweller@feddit.nlto Not The Onion@lemmy.world•Trump Orders Four Mile Military Parade for His 79th BirthdayEnglish2·6 days agoMilitary personnel sell their morals to the highest bidder. They listen to the orders of their higher ups and hide behind the narrative that: “I’m just following orders” / “I don’t make the rules”.

As we received new network hardware from our ISP, and inevitably are getting a new IP address again with that, I’m looking into setting up a DDNS. I’ve wanted to check out DuckDNS.
They run their (free) service on AWS EC2 instances, though, and as I am currently also trying to end my reliance on Google and Amazon, I’ve got some more digging to do. If anyone has a good, European (or heck, federated?) solution, hmu!

kcweller@feddit.nlto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's a time when you felt like you woke up and the universe had just changed?3·24 days agoI think I experienced the same, but have never tried figuring out if there was a definition of it.
At an after party where we already took a bunch of shit, designer drugs, we decided to hit huge lines of K. I K-holed and woke up next day, feeling like everything was just the slightest bit off.
Family, friends, all without reason, checked in that week. Haven’t touched the stuff since.
My personal journey:
Install random Linux distro as virtual machine or dual boot, use it until you run into something you can’t fix. Look for an alternative.
Do this a couple of times, my path was: Ubuntu, Manjaro, PopOS, Zorin, Debian, Mint. I ended up replacing windows completely with Mint. It’s nice, easy, customizable, and I can play my games on it when I need to 👍
Learning the terminal is easily done on linuxjourney.com!
+1 for mint. I’ve been using pop, zorin and manjaro, but since I’ve used mint I completely switched to daily driving it on my personal devices and my gaming PC, even going so far that I got it installed on the company laptop 👍
Coconut bread are slices of coconut, starch, Sirup and sugar (I believe), that you can put on a slice of bread. We sell it in The Netherlands! But I believe originally it was a condiment (is that the word? Things like peanut butter, cheese, jam, stuff you put on bread)
