No you can’t, because it’s Windows only.
No you can’t, because it’s Windows only.
Checks out, if you’re a Gnome user you’re already used to being told how you should be doing things by them.
I’m not sure why you added a question mark at the end of your statement.
I was questioning whether or not you would see that as a benefit. Clearly you don’t.
Are you also against libraries letting people borrow books since those are also lost sales for the authors, or are you just a luddite?
Because books are used to train both commercial and open source language models?
Has being non-profit been a legal defense used somewhere before? At least in the US the case law is based on commercial, profit-driven emulators being explicitly ruled as legal when Sony tried suing them. I see this said constantly and I think it’s genuinely just the result of propaganda from Nintendo or something.
Even being too lazy to open the weather app, there are so many better and free ways of receiving a message on your phone. This is profoundly stupid.
I agree, but they’ve also made deliberate moves to muddy the waters of open source and push the limits of what is acceptable under GPL, and I’m not going to shed any tears over their loss of potential corporate profit.
Dude you’re fighting a very uphill battle trying to make us feel bad for an IBM subsidiary.
This has no relevance to politics and I’m not attacking anything by saying forcing sign ups is a barrier to content or that you’re wrong about it having anything to do with bots, you dork.
No it isn’t, they are letting bots scrape the articles just like every other news site for that sweet, sweet SEO. Why do you think the archive.is link has the full article?
Still a wall between people clicking the link and the content.
Here a little late with some certified bangers in no particular order:
Monty on the Run - Main theme (Commodore 64)
Sonic CD [JP] - Quartz Quadrant (Present)
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night - Wandering Ghosts
Though they seem secure behind a paywall, swiping content creators’ explicit photos and videos from subscription-based platforms such as OnlyFans, Patreon, and Fansly is relatively easy. People can download third-party apps for the task, and if those don’t work, a few basic coding tutorials can teach them how to surpass anti-theft technology. These images and videos then proliferate across the internet, on niche forums, Reddit threads, Discord servers, and Telegram groups with tens of thousands of participants. Today, a growing legal consensus considers this activity to be sexual abuse.
I think you deliberately skipped this part.
Damn, I can’t believe I accidentally sexually abused Kate Winslet by pirating Titanic.
I’m playing through Morrowind for the first time right now (past a few hours in at least), and I’ve been blown away at just how much more interesting of a plot and setting it has compared to everything Bethesda ever made after it. The miss chance, spell fail chance, and non-regenerating magicka were always enough to scare me away before, but I finally understood what a huge impact fatigue has on everything, and how much more terrible you are at low-level skills compared to their later games.
I also like the progression of my character walking around slow as shit at level 1 taking forever to get anywhere vs running around at 30mph jumping from canton to canton in Vivec like it’s nothing now.
I don’t think you realize that if your goal is to have a simple install method anyone can use, even redirecting the output to install.sh like in your examples is enough added complexity to make it not work in some cases. Again, those are not made for people that know bash.
If you can’t review a bash script before running it without having an unnecessarily complex one-liner provided to you to do so, then it doesn’t matter because you aren’t going to be able to adequately review a bash script anyway.
If Netscape had a large paid install base and still failed because a free browser became ubiquitous, what makes you think doing that now when the free browsers are already ubiquitous would work? Especially when it also has to compete with what is essentially already what you’re describing, Librewolf (or just Firefox + Arkenfox).
