Ok Proton is Swiss, Vivaldi Norwegian (both not EU), but it says European not EU. But then for example as alternative for Coca Cola Zero they say Fanta, Mezzo mix, Schweppes not only no real alternativ but all owned by The Coca Cola Company. Also im really curious how to get satellite internet with OneWeb by Eutelsat (Starlink alternative) as a private customer.
We are already tired of winning

PlaneMaker@feddit.orgto Europe@feddit.org•Questions and Answers on the US reciprocal tariff policyEnglish13·10 days agoWhen goods and services are taken into account, the EU has a small surplus with the US of €48 billion; this is the equivalent of just 3% of total EU-US trade (€1.6 trillion).
Nevertheless, considering the actual trade in goods between the EU and US, in practice the average tariff rate on both sides is approximately 1%. In 2023, the US collected approximately €7 billion of tariffs on EU exports, and the EU collected approximately €3 billion on US exports.
While the EU applies a 10% Most Favored Nation (MFN) tariff on cars, it’s important to note that the US imposes a 25% tariff on pickup trucks—the largest segment of the US auto market, accounting for about one-third of all vehicle sales.

I use the Bison App by the Stuttgart stock exchange. It’s very simple and only offers 27 Currencies, but it’s enough for me. It might be worth checking out for you as well.

It’s really complicated for them, you need to multiply or divide by 10th to convert. That’s Math! Don’t try to explain that to someone who uses his Feet to measure things. At least NASA uses the metric system (because they know is better), but don’t tell that to US Americans.
Das hat er nicht wirklich gepostet, oder? Hat hier jemand Twitter um das nachzuprüfen?
PlaneMaker@feddit.orgto Europe@feddit.org•Can Germany attract US researchers? | DW NewsEnglish3·17 days agoEhhh…. They are already overwhelmed in German, how do you imagine it working in English? I went to the immigration office in my city once, they barely spoke English, it’s really sad. If they genuinely want to attract scientists/experts, they need to establish a dedicated office for that purpose, or perhaps an office at the EU level. How does this process work in the Netherlands?

Foto: West Funen Brewery.94·20 days agoI strongly dislike it when even the windows of a bus are covered by advertisements. While there may be small holes to see outside, it remains uncomfortable to sit inside. We do not need to adopt this „billboard culture“
I also use Here WeGo, for me it’s really good for navigation, even for public transport or bicycle. But it’s really limited for location search, i noticed that when several places have the same name it doesn’t really sort them intuitively in the search results. Also for restaurants search i still rely it Google Maps for reviews and opening hours
