Monkey Man, directed by Dev Patel, was solid. More of a John Wick movie than RRR’s Rambo: The Musical. But the acting, the cinematography, and the screenplay were all on par with a top tier American film.
That’s more tongue-in-cheek. They’ve got a scene at a party that involves the protagonists engaging in a dance-off with one of the villains, which is one of the best parts of the movie. But it’s maybe ten minutes in a three hour long epic. Not really a musical anymore than, say, Titanic.
RRR was the first Indian movie I watched and I loved it. I watched other Indian movies after that, but they pale in comparison.

3 Idiots (2009). It’s not an action movie like RRR but I find it just as entertaining.
