It kinda reminds me of a pool cleaner, but it has a really unique taste and bite. How would you describe the flavor of iodine?
I use it in the lab and find smells like purple freezies. Not going to taste it.
Either my purple freezies are deficient, or my sniffer is. I’ve never noticed a smell! (And purple is the only one I eat!)
Ya I can’t really describe it! It just smells like… purple.
I find it disconcerting that the reason given for not wanting to taste it is it smells like something meant to be, you know, tasted.
Really is an indictment of purple freezies.
My dish soap smells like delicious citrus but I know better than to taste it.
Well la-de-da… everyone look at me… I know soap isn’t edible.
Well some of us didn’t go to fancy schools… with… food.
Once I had a bottle of orange shampoo (fruity aroma as well as colour) shoved under my nose by a well-meaning person and it smelled delicious. Like “I must grab this bottle and swig it immediately” delicious. Thankfully I didn’t, mainly due to a comment along the lines of “Here! Smell this shampoo!” that managed to process before the scent did.
There were a few occasions thereafter where I saw that bottle left unattended and the temptation to “just give it a little taste” was incredibly strong. I’m kind of surprised I won out and never did. It would only have tasted of disappointment.
… or would it?
I’d like my mouth to stop watering now though, for real.
Well, you are missing out.
its reagent-grade pure iodine and and i crush it up and mix it with potassium iodide. If I tried to taste it it would definitely make me sick/mess with my thyroid lol
Metallic and slightly of the sea
