    In that situation you’re still admitting the threats have power over you; by releasing the photos yourself, you both out the person as fucking scum and demonstrate that their threat was completely impotent, delivering a one-two punch to the ego.

            It isn’t an effective threat to employers, but it does work on friends and family.
