Thiel is basically pushing the idea of breaking up the US of A into “city states”. And the IT Bros, as the “chosen ones” due to their business acumen, they will all get a city to govern said independent states.
The cities state idea is more of a Curtis Yarvin thing, but he has the backing of Thiel.

In his essay “Education of a Libertarian “ he talks about a few things that could usher such a state like the internet, space colonies or sea standing. So far he has funded two companies that could allow such a state to form. He was one of the first to fund SpaceX (Mars), and he funded a project of Yarvin that I don’t really understand but it’s something about cyber city states or some shit like that, it’s super obscure.

At least Luckey went with the name of the good guy’s sword rather than the bad guy’s surveillance device, like Peter Thiel.
I hate that both trademarks exist, but I’d say using a name form a Tolkien work to develop weapons is especially wrong. Like, abject.
