      Hard agree. Legalised loan sharking.

      They seem to appear a lot in these “buy European” communities. Still trying to work out if it’s me (bias, etc), if people are just desperate to share any “made in EU” content, or if they’re doing guerilla marketing. 🤷‍♂️

        They are doing marketing. I feel many companies are reading lemmy and try to gauge sympathy and market reputation.

                I think it’s called blind actionism. But I feel (your) strong words won’t help here. People need to be educated. And it’s not like they have a good option to pick. The options with payment providers are mainly: bad and worse. But you should be aware once you sign a contract with the devil…
