Why. the fuck. was this meeting filmed & broadcast? Do these two actors not know how to have a meeting without a camera present? I imagine Trump forced this on Zelensky, but I’ll never really know.
I think that Trump intended to humiliate Zelensky live, that’s really the only explanation for this. Zelensky losing it on camera gives Trump the excuse he needs to dump project Ukraine. He can now point how Zelensky refuses to make a deal, that he’s belligerent, and it’s impossible to work with him. From Trump’s perspective this couldn’t have gone better.
Yeah I can only interpret it as a trap set for a public character assassination of last month’s comprador.
