I don’t even mind ads that much, for me it’s more about the algorithms that push certain agendas and are not open source (for ads and content alike)
Proton is still a great product… easy to switch away from Google, especially if you don’t have the time to self host or manage the complexity of 5 different services. I am aware of recent discussion, and have decided for myself that overreacting is not necessary, though that’s up to you :)
Another such article, is it really so difficult to have proper journalism anymore? Opinionated… We really have to bash again and again because of a mistake, disregarding years of good work? I know it’s difficult for Americans to trust anything nowadays, but please get a hold of yourself…
:D apparently yes. it’s still sad to see. There wasn’t a single post done by proton that didn’t immediately derail into people blaming about “the issue”, and they just couldn’t stop. Not a fun time, and there isn’t anything the company can do to convince these people otherwise, they are just a lost in hate
