Good choice for privacy, not so much for piracy. They removed their port forwarding feature a while ago.
The point is the cruelty.
I’m weaning myself off it. Sadly there’s some communities that I’m active in on Reddit that either don’t exist on a federated platform or are so tiny that they’re functionally dead. Hopefully we can grow those communities though - if we want to preserve the internet and our democracies into the future, the cancer that is big tech needs viable alternatives.
I think they mean Reuters.
Dogshit website anyway.
If you are in America and are expressing pro-Palestinian views online regardless of your citizenship status, you should be seriously considering yourself a legitimate target for arrest or abduction by the state. If you haven’t already, it is essential to assess your security posture and take action as required.
If you need a starting point, take a look at the Electronic Frontier Foundation’s surveillance self-defense guide: https://ssd.eff.org/
Please be safe.
Yup. It’s the exact same reason that the KKK has ridiculous titles for its leaders like “grand wizard” and “grand dragon”. It’s an old playbook, but why fix it if it ain’t broke?
Nonono this isn’t austerity, it’s sparkling cutting everything to the fucking bone. Totally different.
Not even surprised. DOGE had the US government fire a bunch of cyber security staff and they’re also no longer monitoring for cyber threats coming out of Russia. I have no doubt at all that we will find out at some point that Russia has had virtually unrestricted access to US government networks. This is all very intentional.
From what I understand they tend to use Discord, which doesn’t use E2EE and does very much cooperate with the authorities on stuff like this. A good chunk of them don’t seem particularly bright so just a matter of time while the low-hanging fruit is rounded up, but I can well imagine that the sheer volume of referrals the NCA gets for this kind of thing will take a while to get through.
This sad fucker just doesn’t know how to keep himself out of trouble does he? No doubt he’ll be blaming the deep state or the Jews before too long.
I managed to get one for £4.70 the other day, cheapest I’ve seen in a while outside of Spoons. Mind that this was at a tiny DIY music venue nowhere near London though.
The UK is an utter shithole when it comes to privacy, always has been. It doesn’t look to be getting better any time soon either.
This is illegal, you have to pick a side.
I use it in chilli and cottage pies as well. Just adds that little something that you notice when it’s missing.
The Lidl version is better. Spreads much more easily. The name brand stuff is like trying to spread pitch on your toast.
Yeah, the modern internet is sadly pretty cooked. We are well and truly past the golden age.
Try Ifixit next time. If it runs on electricity, there’s a good chance that they have taken it apart and documented how to repair it.
Poland has been sounding the alarm while the rest of the EU sat on its hands for years. Suppose that’s easy to do when the threat isn’t literally on your doorstep.
