notarobot@lemmy.zipto memes@lemmy.world•Then they will ask why nobody wants to use their payment cards6·3 days agoI think this is bit what the post is trying to say.
A few days ago, visa and MasterCard forced steam to stop selling some games they didn’t like, and is not the first time. For many of us (I’m not a bitcoiner nor a crypto bro, my entire crypto wallet is 1usd) the first thought was “this is ridiculous. They have a duopoly so they get to decide the rules of the internet. This can be solved with crypto to remove all the unnecessary middlemen”. I felt the push. It reignited my interest in the tech and am once again seeing what’s out there, fees, and transaction times looking for a good balance

notarobot@lemmy.zipto Technology@lemmy.world•Reddit users in the UK must now upload selfies to access NSFW subredditsEnglish1·13 days agoYes. But honestly one of the main complains I’ve seen is not that this is wrong, but that they passed the law without having planned how they should do it while keeping the users safe and private.
Having a WiFi for kids and WiFi for adults could achieve the desired result without really compromising privacy (I think, but I’m not sure), or even enhancing it, since using Facebook on a kids WiFi would mean that Facebook thinks that you are a kids and KONWS they can’t legally track you
Also we could change some dumb rules on other like no posting nudity, since now if a user is using an adult WiFi, they should be treaded as adults. Want to post nudes on twitter? Sure, tag it as such and only adults will see them
In 5minutes on Lemmy we have come up with better ideas than the current law. They didn’t think about this nor heard the critics that have been saying this is a bad idea for years
But then again. What can we expect from people that trus t electronic voting
Edit: forgot this was about the UK. iDK if they have electronic voting

I went to see a neurologist and paid 0 cents My brother is considering a biology PhD and he’s broke. A 3 bedroom house costs like 60k usd
notarobot@lemmy.zipto Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Financially rewarding and you will always have a job6·20 days agoOh. I hadn’t read it like that. I thought the brother was a hypocrite because if he has a PhD he SHOULD be able to pay his debts and get a hose (I’m not from the us so I’m guessing that part) but I stead seems to not ba able to manage his own money while criticizing OP
It is not. Nostr is based on public key cryptography. A lot of features are linked with a layber on top of bitcoin (lightning, which by my understanding makes absolutely no sense), but its nowhere near required
I’ve been an ass to assholes on nostr and wouldn’t want that linked up to my Lemmy account. So if you want someone to interact with or test things, I can generate a new account
Join nostr. Is a decentralized social network where no one can stop you from saying what ever you want.
I’ve not seen any kind of porn (adult or child). No gore.
What you do get is all the anarchist liberals, trump supporters, homophobes, racists, and WAY TOO MANY conversations about bitcoin (I recommend adding a filter to remove any posts that mention bitcoin just to actually find something different)
Do not retaliate and you will be rewarded
